Hi.

Thank you for visiting A World Betwixt Worlds. New content is added weekly.

2 years of genocide in Gaza. What will it take to end the genocide?

How has it been two years of death and relentless suffering in Gaza? Both Palestinians and the land have been forever scarred after two years of constant bombing. There is no justifying anything Israel is inflicting on Gaza. The Geneva Conventions have been violated since the start of the genocide two years ago and few countries have done what international law has required to hold Israel accountable for their war crimes.

  • Over 66,000 Palestinians have been killed by Israel.

  • Over 10,800 Palestinians are being illegally held in Israeli prisons.

  • 459 Palestinians have died due to starvation.

  • 92% of buildings have been destroyed in Gaza.

  • 125 hospitals have been damaged or destroyed

  • 1,722 health care workers have been killed.

  • ~300 journalists have been killed.

Israel and their accomplice, the US government, are committing genocide, ecocide, and systematically dismantling international law and erasing human rights. Their goal is to annex Gaza and other land throughout the world while bullying any opposition into submission through their violence and economic threats.

There is no food in Gaza, no medicine, no water, no shelter. This is not life, this is torture at the hands of Israel and every country that supports Israel in any capacity. Palestinians are forced to displace and are targeted as they move into the “safe zones”. If Palestinians attempt to get food at a food distribution centers, they are targeted. Even through their starvation, they are killed for simply seeking sustenance. And yet, world leaders continue to do business and supply weapons to Israel.

Even while peace talks take place and Trump demanded that Israel stop the airstrikes, Israel is relentlessly bombing Gaza.

What is frightening is that so few countries stand in opposition to genocide and in support of human rights and international law. What two years of genocide has done is unmasked the performative show that world leaders and governments want us all to believe they uphold rights while their actions prove where they really stand and that is in fear of the US and Israel and against intrinsic rights. This goes for every country that has not issued an ironclad arms embargo on Israel or any form of sanctions for Israel.

What is clear is that human rights means nothing to anyone in power. Our rights are under attack across the globe. It does not matter what country you live in, we are all under threat of oppression when those in power fuel a genocide and attack those opposed to genocide.

What can you do?

  • Boycott. These genocide supporters need your money and this is where we have the power. Stop supporting companies that are funding genocide or support Israeli occupation.

  • Donate to Palestinians and trusted humanitarian organizations.

  • Keep the fight going. Do not ever give up on a free Palestine until Palestine is truly free. This means that we share what is taking place in Gaza, we share the stories from Gaza, we discuss the history of Gaza, we share the heartbreak of Palestinians, we cry with Palestine, we pray for Palestine and all Palestinians who have died that they have justice and peace and for those who are hurt that they heal and live in peace.

  • Silence is complicity.

  • Push for a global strike to end the genocide in Gaza and the genocides taking place in Sudan and the Democratic Republic of Congo, to end oppression, and remove fascists from power permanently. What we need most of all is to strike. I feel like there will come a time when it has to come to a head of either violence or striking and the world will strike for peace or be forced into world war. I pray that we can strike together to remove all oppressors in every seat of power across our planet.

What I need for everyone to understand is that WE are the ones that are making the difference, not governments, not leaders, and not international organizations. WE are what is forcing change because WE are not letting up. This is what having power looks like, when WE make a difference because WE united together and never gave up. An immense thank you to the truly amazing human beings who work in aid distribution groups, the flotillas, or individuals taking it upon themselves to fight for Palestine.
